Debenham, Suffolk

Debenham is a sizeable beautiful village nestling in the heart of Suffolk containing an array of historic and colourful buildings covering many periods of history, with a profusion of attractive timber-framed buildings dating from the 14th to the 17th century.

Looking up towards the High Street, the houses in the centre of the picture are newly built but still manage to blend in with the older houses.

This elegant building built c1905 was once the Ancient Order of Foresters hall but is now used as a bathroom showroom, such a shame.

Debenham has many different styles of building covering many periods; this house is from the Tudor period.
